![]() Rebirth lets you select one of your non-Seasonal characters and transform it into a Seasonal character. In this post, we’ll explain Rebirth in Diablo 3. However, Rebirthing a character comes with its own set of rules and stipulations. Fortunately, there’s a way to perform the inverse of this process: Rebirth. At the end of each Season, Seasonal characters automatically become non-Seasonal characters. Meanwhile, non-Seasonal characters enjoy the base game and that’s it. Of course, Seasonal characters enjoy all the Seasonal content, like the Season Journey and new mechanics, like Season 28’s Altar of Rites. Since Seasons were introduced, players created either a Seasonal on non-Seasonal character. Rebirth doesn’t necessarily improve this, as it would still reset the player’s skills and abilities back to level 1, but it would make it easier to retain any cosmetic appearances and, vitally, mean that it also wouldn’t take up a character slot – as Diablo 4 currently only lets you have 10 characters at a time.Diablo 3′s introduction of Seasons created a divide between player characters. But by and large, these will be entirely new characters – whereas their original characters will live on a ‘non-seasonal realm’. They won’t have to start entirely from scratch, as they’ll be able to first login with the character that’s made the most progress so far and transfer across things like the game’s map, any Lilith statues they’ve previously uncovered, and they won’t have to repeat the story again. To clarify, when the Diablo 4 Season 1 start date hits next week, players will have to create a new character to play the season content and earn items in the game’s season pass. But we’ve heard this a bunch so the team is aware.” When asked if this feature – previously seen in Diablo 3 – could come to the new game, global community developer Adam Fletcher responded “Rebirth isn’t a feature in D4 yet. ![]() The feature in question is Rebirth, which allows players to take their existing characters and restart them from level 1 (sans items) for the Seasons content. It looks like Diablo 4 players may get a much-requested feature from previous games, if recent Twitter comments by a Blizzard developer are anything to go by. ![]()
